Afghanistan army Chief removed over flawed military strategy.
A reliable source informed PNB News on Wednesday that the Afghanistan government has removed Chief of Army Staff Lt GenWali Mohammad Ahmadzai from his position. The same source further added that Ahmadzai has been replaced by Hebatullah Alizai as Afghanistan’s new military commander. In June of the current year, Ahmadzai was appointed as Afghanistan’s military chief. The reason behind his removal was kept secret.
Following the heavy defeat in northern Afghanistan, the president has replaced the military head, political and military experts have said. Due to ANDSF’s poor war strategy and planning, the Taliban have seized ten regional capitals in less than a week. Nimroz, Jauwzjan, Takhar, Kunduz, Sar_e_Poul, Samangan, Farah, Ghazani, Badakhshan, and Baghlan regional capitals have been collapsed to Taliban in a short span of time. According to Long War Journal (LWJ), the Taliban have captured more than 190 Afghanistan districts out of 421. To stop the Taliban’s rapid advancement Afghan government had imposed a night curfew in 31 states last moths.
