In a string of decisive onslaughts, the Taliban seized the second and third largest cities of Afghanistan. A foreign source informed the PNB News agency that Kandhar and Herat cities have collapsed to Taliban insurgents. After the NATO’S pull out, the Afghan government forces have been handing over military outposts, weapons, and key cities to the Taliban without firing a bullet. Since 6th August, about 14 regional capitals have fallen to the Taliban. The provincial capitals that have fallen to the Taliban are Zaranj (Nimroz), Sheberghan (Jowzjan), Kunduz, Saripul, Taloqan(Takhar), Aybak (Samangan), Puli Khumri(Baghlan) Farah, Fayzabad (Badakhshan), Ghazni, Herat (3rd largest city of Afghanistan) with a population of 574,276, QalaeNaw (Badghis), Lashkargah and Kandhar.
Kandhar is the second-largest city in Afghanistan with a 614,118 population . Kandahar province is situated in the south of Afghanistan, sharing a border with Balochistan, Pakistan. According to local media, Afghan National security forces have either been surrendering or fleeing the battlefield to avoid being captured or killed by the Taliban. US and UK have decided to send troops to Afghanistan to pull out their embassies staff from Afghanistan Via Hamid Karzai international airport Kabul. The Taliban could seize the Kabul control in 90 or 30 days the American intelligence says.
