The ministry of external affairs further added that the meeting took place due to the Taliban’s trade desire with India. In fact, India dislikes the closeness between Pakistan and the Taliban, and it thinks the Taliban government may provide logistic support to oppressed Kashmiri Muslims. India has contributed over 3 billion dollars in Afghan development activities, building tight links with the U.S.-backed Kabul administration. Taliban also wants commercial and diplomatic relations with India, Indian media reported as Muhammad Abbas had said in a statement. We want better relations with all neighboring countries including India, Stanekzai further added in a statement.
