October,04 (PNB News). As many as 25 Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) insurgents had been arrested in an ongoing anti-terrorist crackdown in the Nineveh governorate on Saturday. According to the Iraqi military, successful anti-insurgent operations were launched in different parts of Nineveh province which ended up with desired results.
During a wide-scale operation in Iraq’s Kirkuk area last month, Iraqi security forces uncovered huge amounts of rockets, light and heavy weapons belonging to ISIL militants.
When the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) was defeated by Iraqi forces in Mosul in July 2017, Haider Jawad Kadhim al-Abadi declared victory. However, some surviving elements are spreading chaos and havoc to penetrate security forces and civilians in order to expand control in Iraq’s strategic constituencies. Today, national and international organizations are flocking to Iraq in search of pilgrimage, investment, and exhibition opportunities. People who had been fatigued by terrorism and other threats have exhaled a sigh of relief.
