The Frontier Constabulary (FC) successfully thwarted a massive terrorists attack in the Awaran district of Balochistan on Saturday, the Pakistani military media wing reported. Quoting to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Pakistani media outlets further reported that at least 4 terrorists were killed after a fierce gun battle with paramilitary forces in Balochistan province on Saturday. The source further added that a large cache of weapons and ammo meant to be used against the Pakistani military and civilians was confiscated as well by the Frontier Constabulary (FC).
The Frontier Constabulary is a federal paramilitary organization in Pakistan that reports to the Interior Secretary. It is mostly drawn from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region but operates across Pakistan. The regional branch of Islamic State (ISIS), Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), and Tehreek-i- Taliban Pakistan (TTP) largely funded and supported by anti-Pakistani forces have been targeting and killing Pakistani military and paramilitary forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, since the beginning of US war on Afghanistan in late 2001.
