DAMASCUS, Syria (PNB News). According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), 14 Syrian government troops were martyred and three more were injured after their military bus was trapped in improvised explosive device (IED) explosions near the President Bridge, Damascus.
The accident took place on Wednesday morning, near the Jisr al-Ra’es vicinity in the capital city of Damascus. Ambulance ferried the injured to a district government hospital for medical assistance. No other information about the victims of the twin improvised explosive device (IED) blasts was brought to the surface by the Syrian authorities as of early Wednesday. The most recent bombing was the bloodiest in the capital in years, and it was a rare occurrence since government soldiers reclaimed territories lately restricted by rebel aggressors in Syria’s decade-long conflict.
