Ali Mohammed al-Nimr was released on Wednesday as a result of Saudi Arabia’s decision to reduce death sentences for those who committed crimes as kids. Ali al-Nimr, a young guy arrested in 2012 for his involvement in protests against the government. Saudi authorities detained him in 2012, at the age of 17, during an anti-government rally in the Shiite-majority Qatif area of Eastern Province.
