October, 15, Kandahar (PNB News). During Friday prayers, a huge explosion hit a Shi'ite mosque in Kandahar, killing at least 47 people and injuring 70, according to authorities. Eyewitnesses reported 3 suicide bombers, 1 blew himself up at the mosque's gate and 2 others detonated waist belts in the mosque.
