Dozens Killed And Wounded After Bus Fell In Gorge In Kashmir

Azad Kashmir (PNB News). After a passenger bus fell into a ravine, 23 people were allegedly killed, including women and children, and 8 more were injured. According to reports, the accident occurred in the Sudh Noti city of Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. Sudhan Noti, which means “heartland of Sudhans,” is one of the ten districts of Pakistan’s independent region of Azad Kashmir. Traveler bus began its excursion from the Baloch town, police said in a statement.

Due to a technical glitch, a bus lost control near Manjar village and plunged off the cliff into a deep ravine. Rescuers struggled to free injured and dead bodies from the wreckage of the lorry after it crashed into the stream after swerving off the road, according to police. Identities of deceased and injured individuals are yet to be brought out by the local authorities. All victims including a woman with superficial injuries were shifted to a local hospital for adequate medical treatment. Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Abdul Qayyum extended condolences to the grieving families.
