Niger, (PNB News). Heavily armed terrorists killed 69 people in a rural area of southwest Niger, government officials said. The spoke person for the interior minister further added on Thursday that the town mayor was also killed in a death-dealing rampage. A vehicles convoy led by the civic chairman of Banibangou was assaulted near the Mali border on Tuesday. Interior Minister Alkache Alhada made an announcement on state television that 15 people remained unhurt in the attack on a convoy.
No terrorist groups immediately claimed the responsibility for the deadly onslaught. To find the terrorists responsible for the assault, a massive search operation was started.
