Aung Suu Kyi, Myanmar- (PNB News). Tatmadaw Officials said on Monday that Aung San Suu Kyi, the imprisoned leader, will face charges of electoral fraud and abuse of authority. The military junta further added that the court scheduled the first verdict in her ballot-rigging case. Suu Kyi and her former- election commissioners were charged with poll rigging and misuse of power.
As per local media, some officials were involved in intimidating poll officials. Suu Kyi has already been facing almost a dozen of cases including mega corruption charges. Aung Suu Kyi became captive only hours earlier than the Tatmadaw took power on February 01. She has been facing about a dozen criminal charges with possible sentences totaling more than 100 years in prison.
