Turkey: Turkish Military Eliminates PKK Founder.

According to Turkey, Ali Haydar Kaytan, the founder of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK), was allegedly wiped out in IBO, in the Kurdistan Region.

Turkey, (PNB News). Ali Haydar Kaytan, the Co-founder of PKK was allegedly killed in Turkish raids in the Kurdistan Region. Anadolu News Agency further added that Kaytan had been killed during the crackdown in Kurdistan Region. The report said that Scores of PKK members were killed in Turkish anti-terror operations in northern Iraq. “Abdullah Ocalan, the PKK’s detained mastermind recently assigned him as his second-in-order. Kaytan was among those who got killed in the strike, intelligence reports from the military said.

A sizable number of PKK members has also surrendered to Turkish forces this year. According to media reports, about 150 Kurdish militants had genuflected to Turkish security powers this year by July 30.

PKK is a Kurdish militant and political group, based in the Kurdish regions of Turkey and Iraq’s semi-autonomous Kurdistan region. Since 1984, the PKK has been involved in an armed conflict with Turkey. Kurdistan Workers’ Party has been calling for a Kurdish state in Turkey for the last 35 years, their armed struggle has left more than 40,000 people dead, mostly civilians.
