Pentagon: The US attempts to keep its troops in Iraq and Syria to assist in the fight against Daesh/ISIS.
Pentagon, US. (PNB News). As per Al-Arabiya TV, quoting the Pentagon, the US is working to keep its forces in Iraq and Syria to tackle Islamic State (Daesh/ISIS). The US Senator, James Risch called President Joe Biden’s administration to handle Iran’s disruption of the Middle East.
He further stated that we want to keep at least 10,000 soldiers at military bases in the Middle East.
The US has been blaming Iran for attacking US forces again and again over the years, however, it has never disclosed the death toll of American soldiers who have been killed in Iran strikes. Biden has been pledging for a long time that the US military will leave Iraq by the end of this year, but the Pentagon has another idea. When the city of Mosul fell to Iraqi forces in 2017, Al-Abadi celebrated victory against ISIS. Iran has been a vigilant partner of Iraq in a war against ISIS. It is America, not Iran, that has been causing troubles and anarchy in the Muslim countries. Neither the Iraqi government nor its citizens want US forces’ presence in Iraq and Syria. When all is said and done, deployment of the US military in Iraq and Syria might complicate the campaign against Islamic State.
