Kurdish forces killed a few Turkish troopers in northern Iraq on Thursday

Iraq, Kurdistan, (PNB NEWS). 3 Turkish soldiers and 6 terrorists were killed in Kurdish Iraq, the Turkish Defence Ministry said on Thursday.

Turkey launched intelligence-based airstrikes in northern Iraq. Turkish jets pounded and obliterated the Kurdish stronghold in the Kurdish autonomous region in Iraq, killing 6 PKK terrorists.

The number of PKK elements who bowed to Turk security forces this year had risen to 120 as of 28th July.

15 terrorists, who killed 2 Turkish soldiers in Operation Euphrates Shield zone in Syria were also killed on July 24, 2021.

PKK is a Kurdish militant and political group, based in the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq’s northern semi-autonomous Kurdistan region, and in Syria.

The joint Claw-Eagle and Claw-Tiger operations are ongoing anti-terrorist operations launched by Turk and Iranian forces in the Iraqi Kurdish region on 15 June 2020.

House-to-house search operation and screening activities the most important parts of the Claw-Tiger Operation have been accomplished successfully.

Since 1984, the PKK has been involved in an armed conflict with the Turkish state.

Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) has been calling for a Kurdish state in Turkey for the last 35 years, their armed struggle has left more than 42,000 people dead, mostly civilians.

The PKK is a designated terrorist organization by the European Union, the United States, Canada, and Australia.
