Kentucky State, U.S (PNB NEWS). Several storms ravaged havoc across Kentucky and 3 other states. Devastating tornadoes hit Kentucky and other US states on Friday evening, and early Saturday, the Kentucky governor said.
Governor Andy Beshear said during a question-and-answer session on Saturday that the death toll from the series of tornadoes is likely to exceed 100 in Kentucky alone.
The village of Mayfield, a small settlement of around 10,000 inhabitants in the far western part of Kentucky, was the center of the devastation.
In a statement, the rescue chief reported that 40 people were evacuated from the candle plant in Mayfield.
An informed factory source claimed that there were more than 100 workers underneath the structure when it fell.
6 people were killed at an Amazon distribution center in Illinois on Friday night when a twister struck the building and caused a sizable part of it to collapse, govt further said.
The hurricane was so powerful that it leveled most of Kentucky’s towns.
