Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed, the UAE’s authorized leader, received Israel’s Prime Minister, Naftali Bennett, at his royal villa in Abu Dhabi
Dec, 13 (PNB NEWS). A high-level Israeli delegation headed by Naftali Bennet has begun its first official visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Bennett’s spokeswoman noted on Sunday that it is the first time an Israeli prime minister has flown to UAE on an official visit.
Prior to this, the UAE and other Arab states had offered Israel diplomatic relations in condition to end the occupation.
Visiting Israeli premier, Naftali Bennet met with Emirates de facto ruler at Abu Dhabi villa. The volatile regional security situation, peace, prosperity, and bilateral ties were discussed in the meeting.
Israeli P.M, Naftali Bennett also discussed Iran with Emirati Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
World powers have been pushing to revive the Iran nuclear deal, UAE had sent its envoy to Tehran last week to discuss pending matters including the revival of the nuclear deal.
This week, a US delegation would travel to the UAE to warn Emirati banks about non-compliance with Iran sanctions.
Bin Zayed expressed hope that the meeting will “add to greater collaboration for the benefit of the peoples of the two nations.
The Palestinian Authority did not react or comment about Monday’s meeting in Abu Dhabi.
Both sides underlined the desire to further bilateral cooperation and cooperative action in order to promote mutual interests.
