A fire that raged in a building in central Osaka, Japan, cost the lives of twenty-seven citizens

 

Japan – (PNB NEWS). A building fire in the Japanese city of Osaka killed 27 people on Friday.

Osaka is a large port city and economic center on the Japanese island of Honshu.

It is known for its contemporary architecture, nightlife, and delicious street foods.

Japan Broadcasting Corporation said that 28 others with severe burning injuries were moved to the hospital.

The eight-story facility, which housed mental health and medical services, was the epicenter of the tragedy.

An unknown man is thought to have instigated the fire outbreak, police preliminary report said.

Police have launched the operation to apprehend the key suspect.

The fire was noticed on the fourth floor at 10:35 a.m., fire department officials further reported.

Firefighters said the fire was extinguished after half an hour.

No other piece of information about the deceased was released immediately.
