Bihar, India (PNB NEWS). When the boiler at a food processing factory in Bihar’s Muzaffarpur district exploded, at least 7 people were killed and 11 were injured.
The tragic incident happened on a Sunday morning, at a noodle factory in Muzaffarpur’s Pella industrial zone, police said.
An initial report said that injuries were caused by a boiler explosion, police further said.
The cause of the blast remained undetermined after primary investigation.
The victims were identified as salaried workers who worked on a routine basis. The bodies of three of the seven victims were verified. Injured in the explosion were sent to a public hospital.
Bihar’s CM offered condolences for the tragedy and pledged payment to the victims’ families.
CM Bihar, Nitish Kumar announced ₹4 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased.
Modi granted payments of Rs 2 lakh each from the PM’s National Relief Fund to the victims’ families.
The injured would get Rs 50,000 each, as per the Govt. Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered deep condolences over the fatalities on Sunday.
