Mumbai Building Fire Kills 7, Injures15

Mumbai, India (PNB NEWS). A severe fire broke out in a multi-story apartment near Bhatia Hospital in Mumbai early Saturday morning, killing at least seven people and injuring many more.

The fire broke out at 7:25 a.m. on the 18th story of the Kamal building in Nana Chowk in the city’s Tardeo neighborhood, initial Indian reports said today.

It has been classified as a Level 3 fire by the Bombay Fire Department. There are 13 firefighters on the scene, as well as five ambulances to transport any injured people to the hospital.

15 injured were transported to a hospital in Bhatia. Three victims are in critical condition, according to a doctor, while the others are being treated in the general ward.

One man died as a result of the injuries. Two other victims were documented at Hospital Kasturba, one of whom died subsequently.
