Hasakah, Syria (PNB NEWS). The battle between ISIS and the SDF for control of jail in Hasakah, Syria, entered its fourth day on Sunday, claiming 123 lives.
As per SOHR, more than 120 people were killed in the battle for control of Ghweran prison in Hasaka, northeastern Syria.
According to the latest data released by SOHR, 77 ISIS terrorists, 39 SDF militiamen, and seven civilians were killed in the clashes.
Furthermore, it was reported that the death toll could be greater because a large number of injuries had been documented.
Terrorists reportedly attacked Ghweran Prison, where the SDF is holding thousands of ISIS members.
ISIS attacked the jail on Thursday in an attempt to free an estimated 3,500 ISIS prisoners.
During recent confrontations, ISIL stated that it had seized a weapons cache and hundreds of its militants had fled.
