Jordan, Amman (PNB NEWS). Jordanian military killed 27 Syrian smugglers in a shootout when they attempted to enter Jordan through the Nasib Border Crossing.
The Nasib Land Border is a border crossing between Syria and Jordan. It is the primary crossing point for Syrian exports to Jordan and the Gulf Cooperation Council members (GCC).
According to a Jordanian Military website, they foiled several suspected drug smuggling attempts from Syria and confiscated large amounts of drugs.

According to the military, large amounts of illicit substances were found in Syrian trucks passing through Jordan’s Nasib border crossing.
Jordanian soldiers opened fire at Syrian bootleggers on Thursday, while they were trying to enter Jordan.
As a result of both sides’ lethal shelling, 27 Syrian people were killed and several Jordanian soldiers were injured.
