Pakistan Military Inflicts Heavy Losses Upon BLA

Pakistan, Islamabad. (PNB NEWS). Terrorists launched deadly raids on Pakistani military forces in Baluchistan province just before Imran Khan’s trip to China for the winter Beijing Olympic Games opening ceremony. Army said, both Wednesday night attacks, one in Panjgur district and the other in Naushki district, were foiled successfully. 15 terrorists were killed and four soldiers were martyred in the course of foiling the attacks, ISPR said. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for deadly onslaughts in a statement. The regional branch of Islamic State (ISIS), Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), and Tehreek-i- Taliban Pakistan (TTP) largely funded and supported by India’s foreign intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) have been targeting and killing Pakistani military and paramilitary forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, since the beginning of US war on Afghanistan in late 2001.

The BLA first came to public attention in the summer of 2000, when it claimed responsibility for a series of bombing attacks on Pakistani forces. Balochistan’s separatist movement is fighting a limited war against the Pakistani military. The Balochistan Liberation Front is a militant organization based in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. Jumma Khan created the organization in 1964, and it played a key part in the insurgencies in Iran’s Sistan and Baluchestan provinces from 1968 to 1973, as well as Pakistan’s Balochistan province from 1973 to 1977. The group’s insurgency, on the other hand, was defeated in both Pakistan and Iran.
