Peru: Light Plane Crash Killed Seven In Nazca lines

PERU, Lima (PNB NEWS). A plane carrying tourists to the Nazca lines crashed, killing five tourists and two flight crew members, govt officials confirmed the incident on Friday.

The light aircraft was a Cessna 207 single-engine, local tour operator Aero Santos said. 

On a journey to visit Peru’s Nazca Lines, a popular tourist attraction, a light aircraft with five tourists and two flight crew crashed.

According to government officials, the victims were Dutch and Chilean tourists.

The cause of the tragic jet crash is still being probed. The Nazca Lines are a renowned tourist attraction and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Nazca Lines are a collection of pre-Columbian geoglyphs etched into desert sands in Peru.
