Cameroon, (PNB NEWS). The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) reported on Monday that cholera has killed 34 people in Cameroon.
Four areas including a Douala were affected by the Vibrio Bacteria.
According to OCHA, the littoral region, the south region, and the far north region have been the epicenter of Vibrio pandemics.
Outbreaks of waterborne diseases are common in Cameroon, mainly due to poor sanitation and lack of access to clean water.
last week, Cameroon’s health minister urged people to be clean and safe and report all Cholera linked diseases to hospitals.
According to the report, there is concern that the pandemic will claim more lives in coastal areas.
