Turkey is attempting to find a balance with Russia by claiming that the combat drones sold to Ukraine are not aid

Ukraine, (PNB NEWS). Turkey’s Deputy Foreign Minister said on Thursday that the supply of Turkish drones to Ukraine is not military aid, but private sales.

Turkey and Russia have close ties in the fields of energy, trade, and defense.

During President Tayyip Erdogan’s visit last month, he also sold Bayraktar TB-2 drones to Kyiv and signed a joint production agreement, which annoyed Moscow.

Ukraine’s defense minister announced on Wednesday that he had received a new shipment of combat drones that had proven effective against Russian troops and their allies in recent conflicts in Syria and Libya.

Turkish drones had also played a key role in Armenia- Azerbaijan conflict in 2021.

In the battle, Turkish combat drones crippled the Armenian military hardware.

In a new statement, Ukrainian Defense Minister Reznikov claimed that a fresh batch of Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 strike drones has arrived in Ukraine and is already in combat service.
