Zambia, (PNB NEWS). According to his family and friends, Rupiah Bvezani Banda, 85, died at his residence on Friday after a brief battle with colon cancer.
Zambia’s fourth president, Banda, was diagnosed with cancer two years ago and was treated for it.

Rupiah Banda, Zambia’s president from 2008 to 2011, died Friday evening in the capital Lusaka at the age of 85.
He fought a two-year battle against cancer.
Andrew, the former leader’s son, confirmed his father’s death, adding, “He has passed away.”
