A freight train derailment in the Southeast Democratic Republic of the Congo killed at least 75 people
Congo, (PNB NEWS). As per authorities, at least 75 people were killed and 125 others were injured on Thursday night when a freight train derailed in southeastern Congo.
The Train Derailment accident occurred Thursday in the district of Lubudi in the Lualaba province, DG of the National Railway Company of Congo confirmed on Sunday.
According to the Congolese Ministry of Communications and Media, the train lost control before several carriages ended up in a gorge due to a locomotive accident.
Because of unstable locomotives and deteriorating rails, train accidents are common in this part of the country.
