ISRAEL, (PNB NEWS). A key member of Yamina’s parliament announced her intention to leave the coalition government in an unexpected move.
As a result of the decision, the prime minister no longer has a majority in parliament.
Bennett’s coalition, which includes parties ranging from the Jewish right to Israeli doves to an Arab Muslim party, now has 60 seats, the same as the opposition.
“I tried the path of the unification. I’ve worked hard for this coalition, ”said Idit Silman, a religious conservative who serves as the coalition’s chairman. “Unfortunately, I cannot participate in the damage to Israel’s Jewish identity.”
“There is a weak and limp administration in Israel today,” Netanyahu remarked during a special session of the Knesset, which is currently on vacation. It has a finite number of days left.”
