Identities and affiliations of terrorists were not ascertained by the General Intelligence Services.

The Sinai-based extremist group Jama’at Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis announced its affiliation with ISIS in November 2014 after accepting the regional caliphate of leader al-Baghdadi.

They had announced a self-proclaimed caliphate, in November 2014 on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt.

No one group claimed responsibility for the Saturday attack.
