New Delhi Building Inferno Kills Dozens

India, (PNB NEWS). A massive fire in New Delhi, India’s capital, killed at least 27 people and injured dozens more on Friday.

The fire has been extinguished, according to emergency services. The death toll is 27.

“The rescue operation is underway,” a fire department official told NDTV.

According to NDTV, more than 40 others were injured and hospitalized.

60 to 70 victims had been evacuated from the building, local media reported. 

A big fire broke out in the late afternoon at a four-story commercial structure in west Delhi.

The fire spread on the first floor of the building, which houses the office of a company that manufactures security cameras and routers, according to NDTV and police.
