Kolkata: Fire At Haldia Refinery Kills, Injures Dozens In India

. Kolkata: Fire at Haldia refinery unit killed 3, injured 44, a company source said . Haldia is located near Kolkata (West Bengal) . The Haldia Refinery,  processing 2.5 million oil tonnes per year Kolkata, India (PNB NEWS). Three deaths were reported and 44 more were injured at the Haldia refinery, according to the firm. Around 2.50 p.m., the accident occurred when maintenance work was in full swing, a company source said, on Tuesday.  The gasoline-making refinery unit was affected, according to the company's administration source. IOC, the country's major oil refinery, stopped its offshore refinery in eastern India for around 50 days, in the first week of this month for maintenance, according to a company spokesman. The UN report also added on Tuesday that, the victims were trying to land in Europe for better prospects. A boat capsized near Libya on Friday, killing 102 migrants, the International Organization for Migration spokeswoman Safa Mashhili said in a statement. Kaduna state: Miscreants Killed Dozens Villagers In Nigeria

A huge explosion struck a private bank building in Karachi's Shershah area on Saturday, killing at least 15 people and injuring 16 others.
