President al-Assad pays a visit to the United Arab Emirates

President Bashar al-Assad, (PNB NEWS). Syrian President Bashar al-Assad landed in UAE, according to his office. It is his first visit to an Arab country since the civil war began in Syria in 2011. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency of the Republic welcomed him at Dubai Airport on Friday. He met Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, at his Al Marmoom palace. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid welcomed President Bashar al-Assad and his delegation, who arrived as part of a fraternal relationship, and expressed his heartfelt wishes for Syria and its people to live in safety and security. UAE Ship Sank Off Iran’s Coast With 30 Crew Onboard

UAE, (PNB NEWS). The UAE ship sank 30 miles from the Iranian port of Asluyeh, the IRNA news agency reported today. Due to bad weather and storms in the Persian Gulf, the UAE cargo ship Al Salmi 6 capsized off the coast of Iran. 30 crew members were in the water, waiting to be rescued by the Iranian ship, according to the news agency. The captain stated that 16 crew members were rescued by rescue teams. The United Kingdom, (PNB NEWS). The United Kingdom is looking into ways to repay 400 million pounds ($522 million) debt to Iran. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said on Wednesday, declining to say whether it had already been settled.
