President Bashar al-Assad, (PNB NEWS). Syrian President Bashar al-Assad landed in UAE, according to his office. It is his first visit to an Arab country since the civil war began in Syria in 2011. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidency of the Republic welcomed him at Dubai Airport on Friday. He met Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, at his Al Marmoom palace. UAE, (PNB NEWS). The UAE ship sank 30 miles from the Iranian port of Asluyeh, the IRNA news agency reported today. Due to bad weather and storms in the Persian Gulf, the UAE cargo ship Al Salmi 6 capsized off the coast of Iran. 30 crew members were in the water, waiting to be rescued by the Iranian ship, according to the news agency. The captain stated that 16 crew members were rescued by rescue teams. The United Kingdom, (PNB NEWS). The United Kingdom is looking into ways to repay 400 million pounds ($522 million) debt to Iran. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss said on Wednesday, declining to say whether it had already been settled. Ankara is trying to remove Hamas militant chiefs from Turkish soil, Hürriyet newspaper said.  It reported on Thursday that despite the expulsion of Hamas militant leaders, Ankara will allow Hamas to continue political activities. According to the article, Turkey has been in talks with a number of nations about relocating Hamas military officials. Ankara informed Hamas that Hamas members in military positions will not be allowed to stay in Turkey, nor it will provide military support to them.
