31 Feared Dead As Gold Mine Crumbled In Sudan
Sudan, (PNB NEWS) . At least 38 people were killed when a private gold mine in western Sudan collapsed.
"After the collapse of a gold mine in En Nahud locality in West Kurdufan state, 38 bodies were recovered."
En Nahud is a settlement in central Sudan's desert. Formerly part of Sudan's West Kurdufan political division, it is now part of the country's North Kurdufan state.

A mining official told media outlets on Tuesday about the gold mine tragedy in Sudan.
"Only one person was retrieved alive," claimed Khaled Dahweya, director of Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, a state company.
No other identifying information about the victims has been released immediately by the officials.
